Description:

The Airbus A330-743L Beluga XL is a cargo aircraft of the Airbus group aerospace under development. It owes its name to its particular form, resembling that of the cetacean (like that of the A300-600ST Beluga which he is the successor). Derived from the A330-200F cargo airliner, the Beluga XL can carry a load of more than 53 tonnes over a maximum distance of 4,000 km: its hold is 6 m longer and 1 m wider than the A300-600ST Beluga.

Six copies of Beluga XL are planned. They will gradually replace between 2019 and 2025 the old Beluga of Airbus Transport International3 for the transport of sections of Airbus aircraft between the various production sites in Europe.
