This model is an early DIII which included a radiator mounted in the upper wing. Later versions moved the radiator to the side of the fuselage.
The Albatross D.III was a biplane pursuit fighter flown by the German Air Force (Luftwaffe) during World War I. It also served in the Austrian Hungarian Air Forces (Luftfahtruppen).
