Description

Gasoline pumps early on were not used where electricity was always available and this pump was operated by hand and gravity. The attendant would use the crank to pump the gas into the transparent container near the top of the pump. When the level of gas reached the location of the desired amount of gasoline the attendant would stop. He then would put the hose and dispenser into the gas tank of the car and open a valve under the glass tank releasing the gas. Gravity would let the gas from the glass tank into the car tank giving the customer the amount of gas they had requested.

This model is built near to scale and it is representative of the 1920 era period gasoline gravity powered pumps. It is built with a lot of detail and period markings. The model is a low to medium poly model and has more than 2 materials. All materials are included as shown.
