The 1st Galician-Volyn radio engineering brigade is a military unit of radio-engineering troops in the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It is part of the West air command.The brigade performs the task of protecting the state border of Ukraine in the airspace of the western regions of Ukraine.The task of the brigade is to conduct radar reconnaissance to ensure timely detection of an enemy air attack, issue radar information to the duty forces of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, notify about the flights of civilian aircraft of its own and foreign airlines in order to take timely measures in case of non-compliance with the rules for the use of Ukrainian airspace.

1-ша Галицько-Волинська радіотехнічна бригада — військове з'єднання радіотехнічних військ у Повітряних силах Збройних сил України. Перебуває у складі повітряного командування «Захід».Бригада виконує завдання з охорони державного кордону України у повітряному просторі західних областей України.Завдання бригади - ровадити радіолокаційну розвідку для забезпечення своєчасного виявлення повітряного нападу противника, видачу радіолокаційної інформації черговим силам Повітряних Сил ЗС України, оповіщає про прольоти цивільних повітряних суден своїх та іноземних авіакомпаній з метою своєчасного вжиття заходів у випадку недотримання ними правил використання повітряного простору України.
