Cumulus clouds suitable for small or medium sized clouds.The highly detailed clouds are suitable for close-ups and far backgrounds.Procedurally generated.

4 base shapes:

  • Bent: 10 VDBs
  • Horizontal: 10 VDBs
  • Horizontal flat: 15 VDBs
  • Vertical: 10 VDBs

OpenVDB files are supported in most 3D softwares, like Cinema 4D, Maya, Blender, Houdini, Unreal Engine etc.

Levels of Detail:

  • LOD0: 31 - 105 Million voxels (voxel size 0.05m)
  • LOD1: 4.3 - 13.7 Million voxels (voxel size 0.1m)
  • LOD2: 0.6 - 1.7 Million voxels (voxel size 0.2m)
  • LOD3: 80K - 224K voxels (voxel size 0.4m)

Four levels of detail provided. Voxel size doubled with every consecutive LOD.

*Caution: *These are not animated or simulated clouds, they are static clouds and their size is not realistic.

Cumulus clouds are generally about 1km wide, between 200 to 2000m high and their base starts at around 500 - 1500m above sea level.

Scale and transform them accordingly for a realistic result.
