If the fur is not to scale, then in the hair and fur settings, open the tools scroll bar and activate the Recomb From Splines label. Then, specify the hair_spline, and the fur will be scaled to the correct size. If the size is correct, you can delete the hair_spline. Before rendering, go to the Rendering - Effects tab, click Hair and Fur and select the mr prim mode below. If you have any problems rendering the fur, write to me, I will try to help you.
