This model was produced through photogrammetry on a pair of real warthog tusks. The tusks show authentic wear from the middle onward where they would have been exposed. There are some nice details in this scan, and its creative potential certainly extends beyond just for use in a warthog model.
Included are:
- Two tusk meshes (left and right tusk, which can be used individually or together)
- Each with 4096x4096 and 1024x1024 textures which comprise of:
- Ambient occlusion map
- Normal maps (tangent, object and world space)
- Original textures
- De-lit textures (for use in rendering scenarios such as games or 3d scenes)
- Multiple file formats:
- Fbx
- Obj
- Stl
- A .blend file containing both tusk meshes
Mesh info:
Tusk 1:
- Vertices: 29,911
- Faces: 30,138
Tusk 2:
- Vertices: 29,918
- Faces: 30,209
Notes:
- The bottom of the tusk is hollow in a real specimen which I could not capture using photogrammetry, so I filled it and applied a neutral color.
- The raw high-poly models (about 94,100 vertices and 188,145 faces) are also available for download, however textures are only available for the retopoligized standard models.
- The textures and models are seperate downloads when you have purchased, be sure to download one of the model zip files and the two texture zips.
- The preview images were rendered in blender's internal renderer without AO or normal maps applied
