This is a Repaint of my AHTS “Granit” to “VOS Hunter”. Its a UT 704 (1975) Design of which nearly 100 were built. The Model was made in August 2011 for VSF with many repaints and Aft deck accessories ( Including a 22 ton Oil Rig Anchor ). She is shown here in cable laying operations modeled from a photograph I found of her sister ship “Bazalt”

Anchor Handling Tug Supply (AHTS) vessels are mainly built to handle anchors for oil rigs, tow them to location, and use them to secure the rigs in place. AHTS vessels sometimes also serve as Emergency Response and Rescue Vessels (ERRVs) and as supply transports.
