HISTORICAL NOTE: The Amazon Frigate was a Brazilian warship that defended the colors of the Brazilian Imperial Navy. It participated of the naval battle of the Riachuelo in June of 1865 against the Navy of Paraguay, in War of the Triple Alliance (1864-1870). Mixed ship, fitted as frigate, was propelled by a steam engine with a power of 350 HP that moved two side wheels.
