Low-poly reconstruction of a medium-sized roman construction crane for a max. load of about 450 kg. Pentaspastos = 5-pulley-hoist. In This case it’s a hand operated version. Others, especially bigger versions, where operated by treadmills. Also smaller versions with only 3 pulleys for approximately 150 kg loads existed as well.
NOTE: This is a more detailed and generally updated version of one of my earlier models. Especially the textures were improved to a modern PBR workflow.
The file includes:
- The wooden crane with ropes, pulleys, hooks, posts, etc.
- 3 different texture sets for different stages in the life cycle (new / light yellowish; aged / dark brown; weathered / gray)
- UASSET includes alle textures, a master material, 3 material instances (one for each state), a blueprint of the whole asset group, alle single meshes
Polys/Verts28,968 / 30,102

- In real world scale (centimeters).
- Logically grouped, layered, attached and named.
