NASA's Ares I rocket, the crew launch vehicle from the Constellation program. Ares I would have been the primary launch vehicle of the Orion CEV spacecraft, and potentially serve medium-heavy cargo launch as well. It featured a 5 segment Shuttle-derived booster as a first stage, and a J-2X powered second stage
