The shape of the bullet chain of the machine gun can be controlled by five empty objects.There is an upwards opening and closing door(animatable) to the controlling cockpit.

No textures, but good topology.Not UV unwrapped or marked seams,but easy to do.

As for modifiers, there is an array modifier and a curve modifier for the bullet chain.
