This 3D model faithfully reproduces the Bauer 88 G, a compact 8 mm motion picture camera manufactured in West Germany in 1959 by Eugen Bauer GmbH, a division of Robert Bosch GmbH. Every element of the model has been recreated with close attention to the original industrial design, from the curved die-cast metal body and hammered paint finish to the precise placement of the dials, shutter release, and film compartment.

The model includes accurate proportions and PBR-ready materials for realistic renders. Bauer’s engineering quality and Bosch’s precision manufacturing made the 88 series popular among advanced amateurs before 8 mm film eventually gave way to Super 8 and video formats.

Eugen Bauer operated under the Bosch Photokino division until production ceased in the early 1980s. The Bauer name remains a symbol of German optical craftsmanship and design heritage.
