3ds Max 2016. V-Ray 5. File formats obj, fbx without fur. Black and White Cowhide Rug #B6159. The scene contains two objects: the rug and splines (hair_spline). Hair_splines are in box mode to avoid interface lag. If you want to see the display of splines, select hair_spline, right-click, choose object properties from the dropdown menu, and uncheck display as box. If the fur is not to scale, in the hair and fur settings, open the tools scroll and activate Recomb From Splines and specify spline_hair, then the fur will take the correct size. If the size is correct, hair_spline can be deleted. Before rendering, go to the Rendering - Effects tab, click Hair and Fur and select mr prim mode below. In the rug settings, the number of hairs is set to 500,000 for close-ups, for medium and far ones it can be lowered.
