This model has been inspired by the **BRDM-2. The texture represents one of the camouflage patterns used by this vehicle.**
The model itself was created in a way that makes it suitable for easy rigging and animation. This means that the parts that are usually animated are separate objects (wheels, cupola, turret etc.)
To change the texture (in Blender), simply select a different texture under the Skin material.
- This model does not include a modeled interior.
The BRDM-2 is a Soviet amphibious armored reconnaissance vehicle introduced in the early 1960s as a successor to the BRDM-1. Designed for scouting, patrol, and reconnaissance missions, it became one of the most widely used armored reconnaissance vehicles in the world. The vehicle is armed with a 14.5 mm KPVT heavy machine gun and a coaxial 7.62 mm PKT machine gun mounted in a small turret, allowing it to engage light vehicles, infantry, and low-flying aircraft.Powered by a gasoline engine producing around 140 horsepower, the BRDM-2 can reach speeds of up to 100 km/h (62 mph) on roads. It is fully amphibious, using a rear-mounted water jet for propulsion in water. The vehicle also features retractable auxiliary belly wheels that improve its ability to cross trenches and rough terrain. With its combination of mobility, amphibious capability, and relatively compact size, the BRDM-2 served with Soviet and Warsaw Pact forces and was widely exported to many countries around the world. The BRDM-2 has seen extensive service in numerous conflicts and has been modified into many specialized variants, including anti-tank missile carriers, air defense systems, and reconnaissance vehicles.
