1/1800th scale Illustrious Class Aircraft Carrier model. Certain elements not to scale.

The Illustrious class consisted of four aircraft carriers that formed the backbone of the Royal Navy during WWII. They carried fewer aircraft than their contemporaries, instead relying on heavy antiaircraft armament including sixteen four and a half-inch dual purpose naval guns. All four saw service into the 1950's and the Victorious into the 1960's.
