Description

Declared of Cultural Interest by the Junta de Extremadura. The Plaza de toros de Cáceres opened on August 6, 1846, with bulls from Gaspar Muñoz and Veragua, estoqueados by José Redondo Chiclanero and Lavi. The arena measures 45 meters in diameter. It has a capacity of 8,000 seats. It has three floors. Currently it retains its original walls, the stonework caracterísitca mole and the peculiar narrow and steep stands. By the spring of 1844 came the idea of building a bullring in Caceres, for which a company in which shares of 500 pesetas, naming Padilla Secundino engineer as technical director of the same is signed is organized. The work was completed in July 1846. The total amount was 237,000 pesetas, occupying an area of 4073 meters.
