Detailed model of a big byers ship anchor, scaled 1:1. Byers anchors are widely used on cargo ships and tankers. Their stockless design allows them to be pulled flush into the ship's hawse pipe, which is essential for streamlined modern hulls. They are most effective in soft, muddy, or sandy seabeds where the flukes can easily penetrate and create resistance. Byers anchors are produced in versions between 220kg and 20t. This model is a 10t version. A stud link anchor chain is a heavy-duty marine chain with a metal stud welded inside each link, preventing kinking and adding significant strength, making it ideal for large commercial ships and demanding anchoring tasks where durability and resistance to crushing under heavy loads are critical.
Formats: GLB, USD, FBX, OBJ, STEP
Information regarding textures:
- PBR Textures are embeded in GLB and USD files since those formats suport modern PBR shader standards in a way that most software can read automatically.
- PBR Textures are not embeded in FBX and OBJ files since those formats do not natively support PBR shader standards.
- PBR Textures are issued as a package in a separate ZIP file for the application on FBX and OBJ formats.
