PBR realistic 3D model of a decorative vintage style clothes iron, suitable for renders and games.
Characteristics:
- Both clean and rusty texture sets available.
- Good for close views, if used with subdivision (mesh smooth).
- Generic, not intended to depict any specific real world brand (copyright safe).
- Textures are 4K and PBR - Physically Based Rendering, for Roughness/Metalness workflow.
- Compatible with subdivision (mesh smoothing) without changing its original format.
- Entirely UV-mapped, with fully unwrapped UVs (non-overlapping UVs).
- Objects and material are descriptively and uniquely named.
- Originally modeled on Maya LT, textured with Substance Painter.
Included formats:
- Unreal Engine (uasset), compatible with versions from 4.24 and newer, including 5.
- Blender 3.3.1.
- MilkShape 1.8.4.
- Marmoset Toolbag 3.07 Scene Bundle.
- Fbx, obj and dae (Collada) - Require adding the textures manually after you import them in your 3D editor.
Unreal Engine format specifics:
- Included one example blueprint (single-player) with config variables for adjusting rustiness, open/close and more.
- Included meshes for each part of the model, positioned at the origin, for blueprint use.
- Included extra meshes with all parts combined, for fully static use.
- One base material and material instance with rustiness adjust.
- No third-party plugins needed.
Geometry:
- Model consists of 5 objects: Pin, Coal Support, Back Cover, Top and Bottom.
- Sealed geometry (no open edges).
- No ngons (quads only).
- No coincident (overlapping) vertices.
- No vertex is connected to more than 5 edges (no poles).
- Total poly count is 7222 (7222 quads) and 7246 vertices.
- Compatible with subdivision (mesh smoothing) without changing its original format.
- Unreal format (uasset) supports triangles only.
Materials and textures:
- One material: MatCoalClothesIron.
- All textures are png, 4096 x 4096 pixels (4K textures).
- Blender, Marmoset and MilkShape formats use relative texture paths.
- PBR textures set: base color (no alpha channel), directx normal map, openGL normal map, height, metalness, ambient occlusion, roughness and ORM (composite ambient occlusion (R) + roughness (G) + metalness (B)).
- Two different PBR textures sets: clean (default) and rusty.
- Unreal format uses 3 PBR textures: color (no alpha channel), directx normal map and ORM.
- Blender format uses 5 PBR textures: color (no alpha channel), height, ambient occlusion, metalness and roughness.
- Marmoset format uses 3 PBR textures: color (no alpha channel), opengl normal map and ORM.
- MilkShape format uses the color PBR texture only.
- Exchange formats (obj, fbx, dae): no embeded textures, so you can import them from the PBR set, in accordance to the requirements of the 3D editor you use.
Preview images:
- Preview images are actual renders on respective software.
- Preview Blender images are rendered with Cycles.
- HDRI used in Blender previews is CC0 from Poly Haven (formerly HDRI Haven) and is included.
Units and measurement:
- Real world scale.
- Unit system is metric (centimeters).
- Full model dimensions: 15.3 cm (width) x 21.9 cm (height) x 27.7 cm (deep)
Additional notes:
- Fbx and obj formats were exported by Maya LT.
- Collada (dae) format was exported by Blender.
- The obj format does not preserve the pivots locations of the different objects.
