Background story:

In ancient times, the Lion Head doorknockers are guardians on doors for palaces, mansions, temples and homes of royalties, officials and merchants.

They are used to prevent people of bad intentions from entering the house, and to ward off killing energy (shar chi). They are also believed to protect the household from being harmed from malicious spirit and evil influences, eliminate negative chi by turning them into positive energy, and bring happy blessings.
