Cartagena is a Colombian port city on the Caribbean coast. The walled Old Town, founded in the 16th century, is famous for its squares, cobblestone streets and colorful colonial buildings. Thanks to its tropical climate, Cartagena is popular among beach lovers. From the city you can go to the island of Baru, where white sand beaches and palm trees grow, and the Rosario Islands, fringed by coral reefs.
