Craiova is a city in Romania, in the Oltenia region, and the capital of Dolj County. The population of the municipality is 304,142 thousand inhabitants. According to the 2002 census, 97.48% of the population are Romanians, 1.5% are Roma, and 1% are other nationalities. Most of the inhabitants are Orthodox Christians.
