Florence, the capital of the Italian region of Tuscany, is famous for its Renaissance art and architecture. One of the city's main attractions is the Duomo Cathedral. Its covered skull dome was designed by Brunelleschi, and its bell tower was designed by Giotto. Among the exhibits in the Galleria dell'Accademia is Michelangelo's David. The Uffizi Gallery houses Botticelli's Birth of Venus and Leonardo da Vinci's Annunciation.
