Grodno is a city in Belarus, the administrative center of the Grodno region, as well as the Grodno region, which does not include the city. During 2014, the city bore the title of Cultural Capital of Belarus. The city is located in the western part of the region, on the banks of the Neman, near the border with Poland and Lithuania.
