Manaus is a city in northwestern Brazil and the capital of the state of Amazonas. The city is located on the banks of the Rio Negro River and is surrounded by tropical forests, so many tourists come here to embark on further journeys through the Amazon jungle. To the east of the city of Manaus you can observe an amazing natural phenomenon - the confluence of rivers. Here the dark waters of the Rio Negro mix with the brown waters of the Solimões River, which is part of the Amazon.
