Mariupol is a city in the Azov region of the Donetsk region of Ukraine, the largest city on the shores of the Sea of Azov at the mouth of the Kalmius and Kalchik rivers. Center of the Mariupol agglomeration. The current population of the city as of January 1, 2021 is 431,859; within the City Council as of January 1, 2020 - 457,439 people
