Cityscape Nagoya JapanNagoya is the capital of the Japanese prefecture of Aichi, a large industrial and port city in the central part of the island of Honshu. The urban area of Naka is famous for its museums and pachinko (slot machine) halls. The entertainment district of Sakae is also located here, where the Sky Boat Ferris wheel built into the building of the shopping center attracts. North of Naka is Nagoya Castle, a partially restored 1612 shogun residence that houses Edo period artefacts.
