Nyingchi is an urban area in the southeast of the Tibet Autonomous Region. In addition to the territories actually included in the urban district, the Chinese government classifies the eastern part of the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh as part of it, which is disputed by India. The county government is located in the Bai area.
