Salt Lake City is the capital of the American state of Utah. The city stands on a hill and is surrounded by the waters of the Great Salt Lake and the snow-capped peaks of the Wasatch mountain range. The famous Temple Square complex is located in the city center. It occupies 40,000 sq. m and the Church of the Mormon Church. It is dominated by the imposing 19th century Salt Lake Temple, the neo-Gothic Convention Hall and the famous Tabernacle with the famed Sea Choir performing under its dome.
