Model of a Napoleonic/ American Civil war era siege Coehorn mortar, complete with carriage, barrel and wedge. A smooth bored, muzzle loaded artillery piece ubiquitous in the 17th-19th century in Western armies, this gun can fire at a very high angle to bypass wall and bombard targets inside a fortification. It mostly fires explosive charges to set fire to timber buildings and gunpowder stocks. This is an indispensable part of siege warfare in the early modern era. Dutch military engineer Menno van Coehoorn developed a light, potable version, called Coehorn mortar to supplement larger, almost stationary mortars.

This model is game ready, or can be imported in illustration programs such as Clip Paint Studio. Alternatively it can be 3D printed.
