Asset Breakdown
Here is a simple explanation of what makes this model special and how it is designed:
The Overall Concept This asset is a hybrid security wall known as a Jersey Barrier topped with a fence. It combines the stopping power of heavy concrete with the height of a fence, making it the standard choice for securing construction sites or blocking off dangerous areas.
Weathered Concrete Base The bottom section is a solid block of grey concrete with a wide base for stability. The texture features realistic scuffs, scratches, and dark grime marks, showing that this barrier has been dragged around and used on many job sites.
Chain-Link Topper Mounted directly into the concrete is a galvanized steel fence panel. It features a standard diamond-pattern wire mesh held by a tubular metal frame, allowing you to create a tall perimeter wall that players can still see through.
Interlocking Connection Tabs On the sides of the concrete block, there are protruding keys or tabs. In the real world (and in your game), these allow you to slot multiple barriers together in a continuous, unbreakable line to surround a building.
Forklift Transport Slots At the very bottom, there are two rectangular gaps molded into the concrete. These are functional slots designed for a forklift's tines, adding a layer of functional realism to the object's design.
Technical Notes
Files Included: FBX, GLB, OBJ, STL, ZIP (Textures). Quick Tip: The Chain-Link Mesh uses a transparency mask (Alpha Cutout). This is much more efficient for game performance than modeling every single wire, so ensure your material settings have Alpha Testing enabled.
