The Control Feed Silo is 22.4 m in diameter. It has 3 days stock. The raw mill product is put into this silo. The outlet has 7 pressure relieving cones. These cones open up in sequence. 3 at a time and are air-rated, in order to have proper mixing. Below the deck slab there is another air mixing chamber called the mixing bin. It is supported on Load cells. From here the material passes through the schenk feeders (For controlling the amount of flow). Then it goes to the bucket elevators (One stand-by) to be fed into the preheater system. The Air slides are split into the two strings and has a bottom outlet in order to have a re circulating back into the silo.
