Asset Breakdown
Here is a simple explanation of what makes this model special and how it is designed:
The Overall Concept This weapon is the signature arm of an undead captain or a phantom duelist. It reimagines the classic naval cutlass as a supernatural artifact, where the steel has rotted away to be replaced by the vengeful energy of the damned.
Ectoplasmic Energy Edge The most striking feature is the blade itself. While the spine remains as solid, rusted iron, the cutting edge is formed by translucent, glowing green flame. This ghost fire wavers and rises from the metal, suggesting the sword cuts through souls as easily as flesh.
Skull-Adorned Guard The crossguard features a prominent, grinning human skull cast in bronze. A matching, smaller skull sits atop the pommel, staring outward. These morbid details act as a warning of the weapon's cursed nature and its wielder's allegiance to death.
Heavily Corroded Hilt The basket guard and grip are textured with heavy, flaky orange rust. This advanced state of decay implies the weapon has spent decades (or centuries) at the bottom of the ocean before being brought back to the surface.
Leather-Wrapped Grip Beneath the rot, the handle retains the look of old, hardened leather wrapped in rusted wire. This provides a tactile, realistic grounding to the otherwise magical weapon, ensuring it looks like a tool that was once used by living hands.
Technical Notes:
Files Included: FBX, GLB, OBJ, STL, ZIP (Textures). Quick Tip: The spectral edge requires a material with Alpha Blending and a scrolling noise texture on the Emission channel to simulate the movement of the flames. The rust should be fully opaque and rough.
