The Extra Flugzeugbau EA300S is a competition-level aerobatic monoplane. The 300S is a single-seat version, with a wingspan reduced by 50 cm (19½ in), and fitted with larger ailerons. Designed by Walter Extra, a retired aerobatic pilot, in 1987. The aircraft is based on a welded steel tube fuselage covered in light alloy and fabric. The Extra 330 is a development of the 300S, with a wider-chord rudder, and a more powerful Lycoming IO-580 power plant producing 330 hp
