British Rail Class 60 60008 of EWS was named in his honour.I Myself have had a very rare privaledge to actually be invited onto the footplate... stoke the boiler... and blow the whistle on this Trains 3 mile Test Run at Steamtown Carnforth.. on a frosty February Morning after almost a £1,000,000 pounds costs in a complete overhaul.... An Experience I have never forgot...
