Garibaldi Castle is a sprawling medieval construction that dominates the small town of Khryashchevka, Samara. Construction began in 2006, aiming to bring a fairytale-esque vision to life. Though often mistaken for a historical relic, this is a modern structure designed to mimic the grandeur of Gothic castles, complete with exaggerated clichés the aesthetic could muster.
I initially set out to texture model the castle in full detail, but I lost motivation halfway through. Once I realized how incoherent and kitschy the design actually is, the charm wore off. It was still a fun exercise in modeling, and I figured I’d upload what I managed to complete.
