The GE Genesis is a family of diesel locomotives designed for Amtrak to fit under the low-clearance tunnels along the Northeast Corridor. They replaced Amtrak's much larger and less fuel-efficient F40PH locomotives. There are three variants of the Genesis: The P40DC, a 4000 hp variant, the P32AC-DM, a dual-mode alternating current 3200 hp variant, and the P42DC, an improved 4200 hp variant of the P40DC. The current operators are Amtrak, VIA Rail, Metro North, and CT Rail. The Genesis has a top speed of 110 mph.

This model features a P42DC locomotives pulling a single Amfleet I coach and a Metroliner cab car. This consist is commonly seen on Amtrak's Hartford Line and Valley Flyer services. This model is based on one designed for GeoFS's Extra Vehicles addon.
