This bike is a generic sport bike, inspired by the crop of supersport machines that were popular in the early to mid 2000s. That decade of sport bikes produced some of the more iconic and recognizable shapes that defined the category. This bike will be useful to you if you need to illustrate a sport bike with no brand association.

The texturing and materials of this bike are numerous. The model has roughly 340 individual objects and each and every one is made entirely of quadrangles and can be subdivided for subdivision surfaces or HyperNURBS or Meshsmooth, etc.

Most of the objects have basic materials assigned, they are all named (objects and materials) and they are hierarchically arranged when the file format allows it. C4D, Maya, VRML, Collada. For the bodywork, brake rotors, rear sprocket, instrument panel, ignition switch, radiator, license plate/ID tag, and the exhaust pipes, there are UV texture maps.

Exhaust: 2048 x 2048 - color, reflection, specular

Fairings: 4096 x 4096 - color, reflection

Rear Fairings/Fuel Tank: 4096 x 4096 - color, reflection

Instruments/Radiator: 1024 x 1024 - color, reflection, specular

Brake Rotors and Sprocket: 4096 x 4096 - color, reflection

License Plate/ID Tag: 512 x 512 - color

The above textures are all provided in both JPEG and Photoshop formats.

You do not need to use the included texture maps. You can always apply your favorite materials directly to the objects in your 3D application of choice.

This model was developed with subdivision geometry and Checkmate Pro in mind. The entire model (even the brake rotors, drive chain, and tires) can be subdivided for super smooth edges and extreme close-ups. It has no overlapping UVs, many individual objects, no overlapping vertices, etc.

Cinema 4D and Maya users can use two custom data entries to adjust the kickstand position and the steering angle. For the other formats, the bike is included in a neutral 'pose'. The Maya, C4D, Collada, and VRML formats have correct pivot points for animation.

All the file formats provided support UV coordinates, so no matter which file format you use, the texture should apply flawlessly. (You may have to create a new material and load the textures into their respective channels.) When exchanging file formats, this can hardly ever be avoided.

The preview images were rendered with Cinema 4D R13, using the advanced renderer. The majority of the images were rendered with one iteration of subdivision or smoothing.

The baby blue and jet black paintjobs of the bike in the preview images are not included in the download. They are simply to illustrate that the look of the bike can be very easily modified. by selecting the appropriate objects and applying new materials to them.

No 3rd party plugins are required.
