This advanced model is of the A7Vu prototype tank. It was based on the same basic chassis as the A7v tank but was a loose imitation of the British tanks of WW1, with main guns in paired sponsons.
The model is supplied as STL files scaled for 1:35.
I found that support placement was critical for successful printing of the two side units and the centre section so have provided STLs of these hollowed with drain holes and support.
You need one each of the center, left and right sides, one left hand door and two right hand doors, one each of the left and right turrets and two main guns.
You can build the entire track using pairs of inner and outer links which should clip together and articulate. They will fit into the toothed driving wheel with a little pressure. You can save time by using the three-links unit on the straight runs, as I did for my prototype.
The idler is optional, as some photos show the tank with the track tight to the front of the sponson (as my model) and others show it with a large gap and the idler visible. The idler will need to be cut to expose the correct amount to keep the track tensioned. I suggest attaching the idler section last and seeing whether or not an idler is needed to make up space.
No colour photographs of the tank exist but there are several easily found black and white images. A dirty greenish-grey (close to field grey) is likely. The only marking is the number 524 at the rear.
