Model.zip is including .max , fbx and obj file formats. The fur is separate from the dog model, you can use the low poly version for most cases, for close-ups I would recommend the high-poly version abc file.ABC file formats should be used as proxys and inside proxy settings Force first map chanel 1 has to be ticked, for the right shading.
