That is what TRAILSEEKERS looks like in the field.
The first squad goes out to find the path. The second finds out what is already on it. Trailseekers operating at this range from support do not have the luxury of calling in contact reports and waiting for guidance. They assess, they decide, and they act - in that order, in very little time, with the understanding that every choice they make here will become policy somewhere downstream. If they call a population hostile and they are wrong, a world stays outside the Greater Good for another generation. If they call it open and they are wrong, the next squad that comes through will find out the hard way. The weight of that is not theoretical. They carry it in every room they enter and every ridge they crest.
What the renders do not show and what the mission logs eventually describe is the quality of stillness these squads develop. Not the stillness of hesitation - the stillness of someone who has eliminated every unnecessary movement because unnecessary movement costs something out here. The crouch that reads the ground. The pause before the threshold. The way a weapon comes up as a question before it becomes an answer. T2 are not faster than T1. They are more precise. They have been further and come back from it and the distance shows in how little they waste.
