Description

Doric temple. Free interpretation based on the drawings of Canina L. (1834) of the Temple of Hephaestus (Athens, Greece).

The Doric order originated on the mainland and on western Greece. It is the simplest of the three orders of classical architecture, characterized by short, faceted, heavy columns with plain, round capitals on tops and no base.
