To improve the visibility of fine details, the models are intentionally designed slightly overscale compared to true 1:87 dimensions. Without scaling, a single outlet measures approx. 3 mm (about 1/8 inch) in diameter.
While it’s possible to scale the models down to approximately 60% for exact 1:87 accuracy, please note that the parts become extremely tiny, and some fine details may be lost during printing and painting at that small size. Keeping the overscale dimensions is highly recommended for optimal visual impact and easier handling.
These components are perfect for adding realism to building façades, industrial yards, railway stations, and cityscapes, especially for scenes involving firefighting infrastructure or urban detail.
Each model is finely detailed and designed **for resin printing (SLA/DLP). FDM printers are not recommended **due to the small and intricate features.
Painting TipsPrimer: Start with a grey or black base coat.
Body: Paint in red, grey, or metallic tones to reflect different real-world materials.
For weathering, apply a subtle brown or sepia wash to highlight details like valves and couplings.
Dry brushing in lighter shades helps emphasize edges and surfaces.
For efficient painting, mount multiple standpipes base-down on double-sided tape attached to cardboard.

Printing Instructions:These models are finely detailed and specifically optimized for resin-based SLA 3D printing. We recommend angling the models during slicing and adding adequate supports to preserve delicate features such as couplings and valve handles.
