IATA 6 cargo containers are used in the organized loading of cargo into lower or belly cargo compartments on larger aircraft. They are built to be used to fill up the lower compartment maximizing capacity from one side to the other while still being able to be loaded through the lower compartment access loading door. Each container would be loaded one at a time based on contents, weight and destination.
