  • Description

Imidacloprid (formula: C9H10ClN5O2; CAS: 138261-41-3) is a neonicotinoid insecticide that acts on the central nervous system of insects. It blocks nicotinic acetylcholine receptors, preventing acetylcholine from transmitting impulses between nerves. This results in paralysis and eventual death. It is effective on contact and via stomach action. Imidacloprid binds more strongly to insect than mammal neuron receptors, and hence is more toxic to insects. At one point imidacloprid was the most widely used insecticide in the world.

This molecule is provided in three standard representations and includes a simulated electrostatic (van der Waals) surface. The whole model is provided as a C4D scene, all objects are editable primitives or metaball objects.

The .fbx, .stl and .obj files are exported from C4D R20 and are provided as is.
