The Kurtis Kraft 500B, 500C,500F, and 500G,are a series of open-wheel race cars, designed, developed and built by Kurtis Kraft, for AAA and U.S.A.C. Indy car racing, between 1948 and 1960.It was also notably the last front-engined car to win the Indianapolis 500, in 1964.

In 1938, the company initially built midget cars (small racing cars). This class grew in popularity. After the Second World War, a displacement size of 100 to 140 c.i. (1639-2294cc). One of the best-known engine suppliers was Offenhauser, a cheaper alternative was the Ford V8-60 engine with 136 c.i. (2229 cm³), built from 1937 to 1940. In the factory version it made 60 bhp (44 kW), tuning parts were relatively cheap. Kurtis Kraft offered both engine variants. By the early 1950s, the company built 550 Midgets and supplied a further 600 in kit form for customers to assemble themselves.
