- The naval vessel I have recently completed is the 41,500-ton Unmanned Power Command and Control Ship design, which was unveiled at MADEX 2025. This is the third design proposal from Hanwha Ocean and is also referred to as the Ghost Commander.
  • This vessel shares the same silhouette as the aircraft carrier designs previously revealed during the now-canceled CVX (Light Aircraft Carrier) project. In fact, comparing it to Hanwha Ocean’s previous CVX proposals reveals a striking resemblance. This 41,500-ton command ship is designed to carry unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and helicopters while supporting aircraft launches via the CATOBAR (Catapult Assisted Take-Off But Arrested Recovery) system. Furthermore, it features a rear well dock, similar to an amphibious assault ship, allowing for the deployment of amphibious assault vehicles and other landing craft.
  • I will omit specific technical specifications as they have not been fully disclosed to the public.
  • The Ghost Commander is receiving highly positive feedback for its potential role as a command-and-control hub for drone forces. This comes at a time when the importance of unmanned weapon systems is growing in future warfare, especially as concerns rise over future personnel shortages due to declining birth rates. This trend is further underscored by the war in Ukraine, where various drone assets have played a pivotal role, proving that the utilization of unmanned systems has become an absolute necessity in modern combat.
