This is Korean style turtle statue on Jara-Island in Gapyeong, Gyeonggi-do, Republic of Korea. Jara-Island was created on the Bukhan-River when Cheongpyeong Dam was built in 1943, and Jara-Island is located about 800m away from Nami-Island. It was named Jara-Island because this island looks like a turtle. In korean, Jara means turtle. It is also in the spotlight as a filming site for movies and dramas due to its beautiful natural scenery and geographical environment close to the city center, and a famous domestic music festival called ‘Jarasum Music Festival’ is held every year.This is made by photogrammetry skills.
