Sculpture “The Loire and The Loiret” at the Tuileries, Superb Allegory!! This marble work was created between 1703 and 1707 by the sculptor Corneille van Clève, who died in Paris in 1732. Son of a family of goldsmiths, he was admitted to the Royal Academy of Painting and Sculpture in 1681.
