Description
Low-poly historical accurate reconstruction of an medieval winch for rope or chain. This kind of winch could be used inside a gate house or gate tower for a portcullis or drawbridge. It is mainly made from massive wooden beams. Metal fittings help keeping it together and provide additional strength. It is operated by two handheld levers that have to be repositioned after each ¼ turn. A metal latch prevents movable parts from unwinding during this process.
